6/12 [Las Vegas]: In-flight engine issues causes diversion

An Allegiant McDonnell Douglas MD-83, registration N878GA performing flight G4-432 from Las Vegas,NV to Moline,IL (USA) with 151 people on board, had just levelled off at FL310 about 110nm east of Las Vegas when the crew decided to return to Las Vegas reporting problems with one of the engines (JT8D). The aircraft landed safely back in Las Vegas’ runway 25L.

A passenger reported the crew announced an “engine warning light was lit”. The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto another flight the following day about 23 hours later.
