Leonardo DiCaprio Retells Story of Emergency Landing

[Skip to 3:07 for the impersonation]

Leo stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday and talked about everything from his massive beard to his numerous brushes with death. But the best moment of all was when Leo talked about a scary flight he had to Russia when one of the engines exploded and recalled and even impersonated how cool, calm and collected the flight attendants were.

Doing an impression (which happens at 3:07 in the video above) of a much-too-relaxed flight attendant, he said,

“We seem to have a slight problem here. Well, we lost one of our engines. We had two, now we have one.”

The flight in question was Delta Airlines Flight 30 to Moscow from JFK back in November 2010, they had lost an engine on take off. The plane had dumped fuel before making the emergency landing on runway 4L

Officials said a left engine malfunction led to automatic engine shutdown. After landing Leo said

“[I] wishe to commend the actions of the pilot and flight crew in bringing the plane to a safe landing.”
