BA to Turn Household Waste Into Jet Fuel

British Airways has announced that it will design a series of waste plants to turn household waste into sustainable jet fuel. The first plant is slated to convert “hundreds of thousands” of tons of household waste and will produce enough fuel to power all of its 787 Dreamliner operated flights from London to San Jose, California and New Orleans, Louisiana for an entire year.
