Sojern, travel’s direct demand engine powering real-time advertising for thousands of brands worldwide, yesterday announced the appointment of Paul Huie as General Counsel and SVP, Corporate Development. Based in San Francisco, Huie will oversee legal, data privacy, and M&A initiatives to accelerate Sojern’s global market expansion.
Prior to joining Sojern, Huie was the founding General Counsel at Criteo and, most recently, led corporate development activities for the $3.5 billion technology company. Before that, Huie was VP and Associate General Counsel at Yahoo!, where he led the legal team supporting Yahoo!’s global mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic investment efforts. During his 16 year-tenure at both companies, Paul has overseen more than 50 strategic transactions totaling $7 billion in value.
“Paul’s appointment affirms our growth strategy of launching new products and new markets. The goal is to leverage his industry knowledge and hands on experience to accelerate growth both organically and via M&A. He will be looking closely at technologies and teams with unique offerings that could accelerate our business both domestically and abroad,” said Mark Rabe, CEO of Sojern.
“Sojern has done an amazing job becoming a vital marketing and distribution partner to more than 4,000 customers globally. Having worked most recently at two leading global digital media firms, I see a big opportunity for Sojern to achieve its expansion goals given its unique position in travel,” said Paul Huie, General Counsel and SVP Corporate Development of Sojern.
