RoamRight’s New Mobile App For Travelers Now Available

)–A new tool to add to every traveler’s packing list is now available on the App StoreSM and Google PlayTM. RoamRight, which is a division of Arch Insurance Company, a leading provider of travel insurance, has introduced an easy-to-use mobile application that is available free to all mobile users with added unique features for RoamRight policyholders. The most comprehensive app by a U.S.-based travel insurance provider, the RoamRight app helps policyholders travel safely by providing local security information, easy access to important travel documents and critical health and medication translations.

“This type of mobile app is completely new to the travel insurance industry in the United States”

“This type of mobile app is completely new to the travel insurance industry in the United States,” says Linda Fallon, RoamRight’s Senior Vice President. “We pride ourselves on our customer service, and this application allows our travelers to take RoamRight’s high levels of care along with them on any trip. The positive feedback we have received on the app from customers and travel agents has been unprecedented.”

Never before have so many location-specific travel features been included in one mobile app. When travelers add destination countries within their RoamRight mobile app, they’ll automatically receive push alerts for security events that are currently impacting that country, as well as alerts for events within 100 miles of their current location. They will also have access to detailed safety information, threats of terrorism and civil unrest, entry requirements, required immunizations, and more. With the use of the translation services provided within the app, travelers can use written copies and audio recordings to seek medical assistance in Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese and Japanese. Plus, with the touch of a button, RoamRight policyholders can contact the company’s emergency assistance provider from anywhere in the world.

Another feature allows travelers to find local equivalents of their medications. Prescription and over-the-counter drugs often have different names in different countries. This helps travelers identify the corresponding medication in their destination.

Additionally, RoamRight policyholders can securely store copies of their important travel documents, review their travel insurance plans, and contact the customer service and the claims departments. They can also buy new travel insurance plans from within the app.

The RoamRight app is currently available for Apple™ and Android™ mobile devices.
