Chinese Flight Attendants trained as “Civil Air Security” Force

Here’s something interesting trending in travel this morning on Twitter.

A single photo has been making rounds across the social network showing flight attendants with guns drawn during a training event.. so I did some digging!

China is training recruits for a new Civil Air Security force, modeled a bit like our Air Marshall program, and is recruiting flight attendants to join. Though the exact details are unknown, it’s been reported that there are strict and “harsh” requirements flight attendants must meet before being accepted onto the force. I’m guessing it’s probably because, as these photos released from their latest training event in Sichuan, China show, they are being trained on fire arms and martial arts.
