Sierra Shields, a 30 year old Shuttle America flight attendant, was last seen at LaGuardia airport Thursday.
Sierra was scheduled to work a flight later that afternoon but instead she went into her supervisor’s office, returned her company’s required materials and notified them that she was quitting. Not giving forward notice of leaving her job was a red flag. Sierra is an incredibly responsible young lady, so it’s completely out of character. Her supervisor said she was abrupt and left quickly saying very little.
Both her friends and family had noticed a change in her behavior over the week before her disappearance. She was always a happy and positive person but in recent days she seemed different as though something was bothering her. Her sister noticed the change and flew to New York only to find that she had disappeared – both her keys and and her wallet left behind in her apartment.
Sierra’s family has distributed missing persons posters throughout the city and have even set up a “Find Sierra Shields” Facebook page as well as begun using a hashtag with the same concept, #FindSierraNYC
Sierra is a kind and giving person, so it’s hard to think of her having an enemy’s, and was not known to have a boyfriend.
She is 5 feet 7 inches and weighs about 160 pounds. Brown eyes and black hair with a medium complexion. She is originally from the Chicago area.
