Frontier Adds New Flights At Washington Dulles

We recently reported that Frontier was expanding service at Miami International Airport, well they’re also increasing flights at Washington Dulles.

Service to San Antonio and Ontario, Calif. Added to the D.C. Region’s Gateway Airport

Frontier Airlines will launch new service from Washington Dulles International Airport to San Antonio, Texas, and Ontario, California. The San Antonio flight will offer one-stop service to Ontario with the same aircraft.

To celebrate this announcement, Frontier is offering fares as low as $49 on nonstop and connecting flights at

“Washington is Frontier country! We are pleased to expand our service from Washington Dulles with low fare flights to 11 destinations,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president, commercial for Frontier Airlines. “The new flights further support our mission to deliver low fares nationwide, to more than 90 percent of America.”

San Antonio and Ontario, the two new destinations served by Frontier from Dulles, bring the carrier’s flight offerings at the airport to seven. Additionally, travelers in the D.C. area can connect from Dulles to five more destinations via Denver.

“The addition of flights to San Antonio and Ontario expands Frontier’s air service, offers passengers new travel options and further solidifies Dulles International as the region’s gateway to the world,” said Mike Stewart, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority vice president for airline business development.

F9 1517           Depart IAD: 6:15 a.m. Arrive SAT: 9:07 a.m.

F9 1518           Depart SAT: 5:25 p.m. Arrive IAD: 9:35 p.m.
